Terms of Service
Last updated 6 September 2026. Version 1.0.
1. Who we are and what this is
Nixra is an AI creation platform for generating and editing images and video, with templates, saved characters, wardrobe and an asset library. It is operated by NIXRA LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 17432459, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom ("Nixra", "we", "us").
These Terms, together with the Acceptable Use Policy, the Content & Safety Policy, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, are the agreement between you and us. You accept them when you create an account, and we record the version you accepted against your account.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly provide the service to anyone younger; if we learn an account holder is under 18 we close the account.
- Give accurate account information and keep it current. One person, one account. Keep your password and two-step codes to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your login.
- You can turn on two-step verification, review your active sessions, export your data and delete your account from Settings at any time.
3. Plans, credits and limits
- Plans are billed by Stripe in US dollars:
- Core — $12 a month or $115.20 a year, 1,200 credits a month
- Studio — $30 a month or $288 a year, 3,000 credits a month
- Director — $120 a month or $1,152 a year, 14,000 credits a month
- Yearly plans are the monthly price times twelve with two months free, billed once a year. Where a limit below is monthly, a yearly plan gets the same allowance each month.
- Credits reset to your plan amount at each monthly renewal. Unused credits do not roll over. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold.
- We may give new accounts a small number of trial credits. They are a gift, carry no cash value, and can be withdrawn or changed at any time.
- Every generation reserves credits when you submit it, settles them when it succeeds, and refunds them automatically if it fails. A generation that is refused by a safety system is a failure and is refunded.
- Video is priced per second of the actual measured input and output, not what a request claims. Small jobs carry a minimum charge.
- Each plan has fair-use limits the platform enforces: runs at once, requests per minute, a monthly video-seconds cap on Core, and 4K video on Director only. The current figures are on the pricing page. We may throttle use beyond them.
- Credit top-ups are not yet available. When they are, these Terms will say how they work.
4. Payment, renewal and cancellation
- Stripe processes every payment. We never see or hold your card details.
- Plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings or the Stripe billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- If a renewal payment fails we will retry it, then downgrade the account once Stripe gives up. Your content stays; generation needs credits.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change takes effect on your plan. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it applies.
5. Refunds and your right to cancel
- Within 14 days of any payment you may ask for a refund at support@nixra.ai.
- The refund is reduced by the pro-rata value of the credits you used in that period: (credits used ÷ the period's credit allowance) × the price you paid for the period. For a yearly plan, "the period" is the month in which the refund is requested and "the price" is the yearly price divided by twelve.
- Once you have used more than half of the period's credits we treat the period as substantially consumed and no further refund is due, except where the law gives you more.
- If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel. At checkout you ask us to start supplying the service immediately and you acknowledge that, once supply has begun, you pay for what you have used if you cancel. The pro-rata deduction above is how we work that out. Nothing in these Terms reduces your statutory rights.
- Failed generations are always re-credited automatically. That is not a refund and does not count against this section.
6. Your content, and who owns what
- What you upload is yours. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store it, process it, send it to the AI providers that run your job, show it back to you and deliver it.
- What you generate is yours. To the extent we hold any rights in an output you generate, we assign them to you when the output is delivered. You can use your outputs for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, on every plan.
- Two honest limits. First, copyright law in many countries does not yet protect purely AI-generated work, so an output may not be protectable at all. Second, models produce similar results for similar prompts, so an output may resemble someone else's, and we make no promise that an output is unique or does not infringe a third party's rights. Check before you rely on one commercially.
- We do not use your content to train AI models, do not publish it, and never sell it. That is a commitment about our own conduct. The third-party providers that run your generations process your prompts and media under their own terms, which the Privacy Policy names. Where a provider's terms let it learn from what it processes, the Privacy Policy says so against that provider.
- You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload, including the likeness of any real person. When you upload a photograph of a person you confirm you have their permission to use it in this way. See the Acceptable Use Policy for what you must not do with real people's likenesses.
- Storage notice. Media you upload and generate, including images attached to messages, is stored at long unguessable public URLs. Anyone with the exact URL can open the file without signing in. The Privacy Policy explains this in full; do not upload anything you are not comfortable being reachable that way.
7. AI outputs: what to expect
- Outputs are generated by AI models and can be wrong, biased, or unexpected. They are not advice. Check them before relying on them.
- If you publish an output that shows a real person doing or saying something they did not, or that could be mistaken for a real event, you must make clear that it is AI-generated wherever the law where you publish requires it. In the EU this is a legal duty under the AI Act.
- You must not use outputs, or the service, to build or train a model that competes with the providers that made them, where their terms prohibit it.
8. Acceptable use
The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms. In short: create, do not harm people, do not break the law, do not abuse the platform. We may remove content or suspend or close an account for a breach, immediately for the serious categories and with notice and a chance to respond for the rest.
9. Safety filtering
Safety filtering is on for every model and cannot be turned off by anyone, including us at your request. The Content & Safety Policy explains how it works and how to report content.
10. Third-party providers
The service depends on hosting, a database, payment processing and AI model providers we do not control. The Privacy Policy lists each one, where it is, and what it receives. Models and features can change or be withdrawn when a provider changes them; if we withdraw a model mid-period we do not refund unused credits for it, because credits are not tied to a model.
11. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change these Terms; we will post the new version with its date and, for a material change, email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Using the service after that date is acceptance of the change.
12. Ending the agreement
- You can end it at any time by deleting your account in Settings. Deletion cancels any subscription, removes your content and media, and leaves an anonymised record and the credit ledger, as the Privacy Policy describes.
- We can end it if you breach these Terms, if the law requires, or if we stop providing the service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice and a refund of any unused prepaid period.
13. Our liability
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.
- If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by your breach of these Terms, or for business losses.
- If you use the service for business, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss.
- The service and its outputs are provided as they are. We do not promise that an output is accurate, fit for a particular purpose, original, or free of third-party rights. Use of outputs is at your risk, as section 6 explains.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the place you live and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
15. Complaints and contact
Write to support@nixra.ai for anything about your account or a payment, privacy@nixra.ai for anything about your personal data, abuse@nixra.ai to report content, and security@nixra.ai to report a vulnerability. We acknowledge every complaint within 30 days and tell you what we did. The Privacy Policy explains your further rights, including complaining to the Information Commissioner's Office.
